description

The main
responsibilities and activities associated with the role are listed below:

• identify and analyze the technical, functional and performance
  characteristics of mechanical systems (components, mechanical
  transmissions, kinematic mechanisms) and hydraulic systems (servo controls
  and hydraulic circuits)


• identify and define the cost drivers of mechanical and hydraulic
  components/equipment


• estimate the cost of mechanical and hydraulic products by applying
  the most appropriate industrial cost estimation methods (parametric /
  analogy / bottom-up). Perform VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering)
  analyses on mechanical and hydraulic products
