Shop Volunteer (Van Assistant - Upton)

Your local British Red Cross shop has a variety of activities available for volunteers to support us in. From sorting stock & preparing donated items for sale to providing great customer service to our donors and customers - we have something to suit most people’s interests. Our shop is a great place to learn new skills and share existing ones.

We are currently looking for Van Assistant volunteers.

Our shop delivers and collects within the local area. Our volunteers help the driver to safely load and transport these items to and from our customers.

Van Assistant volunteer - typical activities

• Supporting drivers by helping to deliver and collect items across the local area.
• Moving stock to other shops
• Helping load and unload items for delivery (including bulky items) in line with our health and safety guidelines.
• Keeping the van and warehouse well organised and tidy
