Shop Assistant

Main Purpose

Responsible for serving customers and processing sales transactions, as well as certain stock-related transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Counter sales – ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Warehouse operations – stock receiving, dispatching, picking, stock takes.
• Colour matching.
• Maintain outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
• Health and safety compliance.
• Receive, process, and organize shipments and deliveries accordingly.
• Stock deliveries to customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12 with a valid driver’s license.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Minimum of 2–3 years retail experience.
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
