Job Description

Position Overview: 

The Emergency Shift Leader is a working supervisor who performs the duties of medical technical staff (, technicians and assistants). Expedite the care and efficiency of the department. In charge of patient care standards for the department. Must lead the team by example by demonstrating organizational skills, following company policies, and maintaining a professional attitude.


Essential Functions:

  • Addresses concerns of staff and doctors while on duty and responds appropriately or directs concerns to the department manager or hospital manager if needed

  • Manages schedule/staffing during shift (receives and documents late or call out calls, sends staff home when appropriate, calls in additional staff when needed).

  • Up to date on and trains, if needed, all appropriate training, procedural, and protocol guidelines for the team and ensures staff compliance during shift.
