About the role

The NSW Sheriff’s Office is a law enforcement, security and court agency that is responsible for protecting and serving the NSW Justice System. Reporting to the Officer-in-Charge, NSW Sheriff’s Officers have an exciting opportunity to directly support NSW residents in having a positive and just experience with the law. 

In regional locations, Sheriff’s Officers operate in small, adaptable teams responsible for maintaining court security and ensuring the safety of all people attending court.

This is a public-facing role that requires strong communication and community engagement skills, along with the ability to apply sound judgement, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a range of situations.
