Summary About the Position: Perform work with sheet metal materials in repairing, fabricating, modifying, and installing sheet metal parts, items, and assemblies for the 12th Aviation Battalion located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Responsibilities Perform work with sheet metal materials in repairing, fabricating, modifying, and installing sheet metal parts, items, and assemblies.. Develop and lay out patterns, and cuts, forms, joins, assembles, and installs items and systems such as heating, air-conditioning, and ventilating pipes. Repair or replace aircraft structural components according to drawings, blueprints, directives, technical manuals, and safety procedures. Cut, punch, drill, bend, and otherwise shapes sheet metal parts by utilizing a variety of tools including punches, drills, chisels, hammers, mallets, shears, rolls, brakes, pneumatic riveters, and metal forming machines.
