Job Summary

Reporting to the Shaft Supervisor, you will be an integral part of the Shaft Sinking Department supporting the Upper Beaver Gold project. Your role will involve ensuring all goals and objectives are met while upholding Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards. You will participate in mining and construction activities with the crew.

Responsibilities

• Follow the daily planning done by the shaft leader.
• Operate vertical mucker (VSM).
• Inspect and maintain the Galloway equipment deck.
• Lower concrete form and pour concrete lining in the shaft.
• Install services, steel sets, guides, and ventilation in the shaft.
• Excavate shaft stations using conventional equipment, jack legs, stoppers, and crawler.
• Operate and apply shotcrete in the shaft stations.
• Read and interpret construction drawings.
