Service Engineer - Mechanical

Service Engineer – Workshop based, Charlbury, Oxfordshire. Monday to Thursday 08:30–17:00; Friday 08:30–16:00; 37.5 hours per week.

Hands‑on mechanical engineering role with long‑term job stability and security, regular pay reviews, and genuine development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Stripping, inspecting, repairing and rebuilding mechanical components and systems
• Fault‑finding and carrying out repairs on customer equipment
• Functional testing of serviced and repaired equipment
• Preparing hire equipment and carrying out checks before dispatch
• Completing inspection reports and service paperwork accurately
• Maintaining workshop standards, tools, stock and test equipment

Skills & Experience

• A mechanical engineering or workshop background
