Service Engineer Durban

An engineering company specializing in the installations, repair, and maintenance of diesel engines and turbochargers for the marine, power, locomotive, and generator industries is looking for a Service Engineer to join their team in Rossburgh, Durban.

IMPORTANT : This is a contract position. You will be required to work outside normal hours from time to time. You will be expected to travel on both land and sea. MARINE Industry experience is required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose :
The primary purpose of the job as Service Engineer is to perform installations, repairs and maintenance as well as commissioning of new installations & repair of equipment on high & medium speed and two stroke diesel engines, including the maintenance of generators. These repairs may be carried out in the workshop, or onboard a vessel/plant etc.
