Job Description
A service advisor typically works in a car dealership and acts as the liaison between customers and the service technicians. The service advisor communicates with customers to determine their vehicular problems and the repair timeline, and provides the technicians with accurate repair descriptions about the customers concerns.
- Greet customers and direct them to available mechanics.
- Consult with mechanics regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs.
- Use your knowledge of our products and services to sell or provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers.
- Answer questions about service outcomes and scheduling and booking appointments, vehicle drop-off, and vehicle pick-up.
- Provide customers with information and advice on warranty protections, potential cost savings, and the advantages of trading in versus fixing their car.
