AtkinsRéalis one of the world’s leading providers of environmental professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.We are seeking a Senior/Principal Water Quality Scientist for water projects, schemes and to address general water use and management issues throughout Ireland.You will be an environmental scientist, water chemist, or water quality expert. You will know about and understand the water quality / chemistry aspects of ecological status as defined by the Water Framework Directive and will have a good understanding of the kind of measures that need to be implemented to improve water quality where it is currently poor. You will have good experience and understanding of the main water quality issues adversely impacting Ireland’s water resources, primarily from agriculture (nutrients, pesticides) but also from wastewater treatment in urban centres and more diffuse and dispersed impacts like leaking septic tanks...
