About the Role

We’re looking for a senior software engineer with strong skills in hydrodynamics and C++/C# development to work on the core real‑time hydrodynamics engine used in Kongsberg Maritime’s ship simulators.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real‑time hydrodynamics, hydrostatics, propulsion, and machinery simulation code (C++/C#).
• Act as subject‑matter expert for hydrodynamic modelling and support internal teams.
• Build and improve tooling for hydrodynamics model creation and calibration.
• Explore the use of CFD and machine learning to improve model accuracy and automation.
• Apply latest hydrodynamics research to enhance simulation fidelity and performance.
