Senior Principal Mine Waste Engineer

Overview

This role is Senior Mine Waste Engineer within the Mine Waste team in the Greater Toronto Area. The position will manage the full lifecycle of tailings and mine waste facilities across Canada, from early-stage studies through to design, construction, operations and closure, while supporting sustainable and responsible mining practices.

Your Impact

• Lead the design, assessment and optimisation of tailings storage facilities (TSFs) and mine waste systems across all project phases.
• Apply advanced geotechnical engineering principles to evaluate slope stability, seepage, drainage and long‑term performance.
• Deliver high‑quality engineering analyses, reports, drawings and technical specifications to support safe and efficient designs.
• Support Engineer of Record (EOR) mandates, dam safety reviews and risk assessments.
