Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior DBA – Reliability Engineer to join the Platform team. This role combines deep database administration expertise with SRE principles to ensure data infrastructure operates at scale with high availability and performance. We welcome experienced DBAs eager to grow into SRE practices – full training and mentoring provided.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and maintenance of highly available database systems (99.9%+ uptime), including installation, configuration, monitoring, and optimization.
• Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning for production databases.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies with automated failover.
• Establish and monitor SLOs and SLIs for database systems.
• Partner with development teams on query optimization and performance reviews, acting as a reliability advocate embedded in engineering workflows.
