Senior OCS Engineer, Rail and Transit (Thornhill)

The Role

As a Senior OCS Engineer within WSP’s Rail & Transit team, you will design and deliver safe, reliable electrification systems for major rail projects across Canada. You will lead complex OCS design packages, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure integration of OCS elements into broader rail infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced technical calculations such as mechanical loading, support spacing, and clearance verification to ensure safe designs.
• Analyze and interpret study results to support engineering decisions and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, systems, and operations teams to integrate OCS elements seamlessly into rail infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed OCS design drawings—plan and profile, cross‑sections, and support arrangements—using MicroStation and related CAD tools.
