Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to take ownership of core platform services, helping evolve an existing AWS-based system into a more scalable, modular architecture. This is a hands-on product backend role with real responsibility over performance, reliability, and system design.

What you’ll do

• Migrate existing serverless logic into a modular NestJS backend
• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS
• Lead MySQL / Aurora performance optimisation (queries, indexing, scaling, reliability)
• Improve system scalability and stability across AWS infrastructure
• Contribute to observability (Grafana) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
