Plan A Technologies is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team, focusing on the maintenance and modernization of mission-critical systems. This role is unique because it requires a deep understanding of enterprise Java (J2EE) history, ranging from older frameworks like Struts and JSP to modern Java standards.
A core component of this position involves low-level networking and system integrations. You will work extensively with TCP/IP socket programming, network protocols, and legacy communication patterns (SOAP, JMS, MQ). We need a developer who is comfortable reverse-engineering undocumented code, troubleshooting complex connectivity issues, and strategically refactoring monolithic architectures to ensure they remain performant and reliable in a modern infrastructure.
