Job Description
Under the supervision of the Character Supervisor and Groom Lead/Supervisor, the Groom artist provides a hair description of production Assets.

Responsibilities

• The Groom Artist will be required to groom, set up and (depending on the production's needs) shade the hair of assets based on concept art and model sheets provided.
• Create Hair effects on 3D animated characters, animals and props by referring to the artistic direction of the project.
• Make sure the delivered assets are technically compliant with the production pipeline and workflow.
• Be involved in the development of tools used in the department.
• Solve problems creatively.
• Collaborate with modeling, rigging and surfacing in order to meet the technical requirements of each department.
• Meet the deadlines, timing and production quotas provided by the production coordinator.
