Senior Funding Assurance Officer

Overview

We are the National Oceanography Centre (NOC), the UK’s leading institution for integrated coastal and deep ocean research. The Funding Assurance and Corporate Responsibility group sits within the Operations Function and supports the delivery of grants through external financial reporting and audit functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional support services to the whole of NOC, supporting the development, integration and coordination of funding and assurance activities.
• Assist throughout the project lifecycle, working collaboratively with Operations groups, Group Heads and Principal Investigators.
• Ensure live grants are operated in a funder‑compliant manner, meeting strict reporting and audit deadlines.
• Analyse data and interpret policy and procedure to ensure compliance with funders.
• Identify anomalies in financial reports and take appropriate action.
