About the Role
The function of the Case Reporting Unit (CRU3) is:
* Assessing cases to determine testing requirements and priority
* To analyse and report on results obtained from the biological analysis of exhibits
* The interpretation and statistical evaluation of DNA profiles in context with forensic examination
* To attend crime scenes as required
* To attend court as required.
Key Accountabilities include:
* Assess and report on the results of routine and complex Biology casework and DNA profile interpretation, which involves the statistical interpretation of DNA results.
