Senior Fitter EDH PCR Base Offshore

Powell is a manufacturer of switchgear and other electrical equipment. We are currently hiring a Senior Fitter at our Southeast Houston manufacturing facility.

If you’re an experienced fitter who can read blueprints, fit structural steel, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we’d like to hear from you.

As a Senior Structural Fitter, you will be required to perform the following tasks: Job Requirements

Essential Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret structural drawings and blueprints.

+ Fit, layout, and assemble structural steel components including channels, I-beams, and plate.

+ Cut, grind, and prepare steel using torches, band saws, porta bands, grinders, and other fabrication tools.

+ Install and fit ¼” plate and other structural components to specifications.

+ Safely operate forklifts, jib cranes, man lifts, and other material handling equipment.
