Senior Fiber Technician

Job Summary

Our GDI Ainsworth Calgary office is looking to add a Senior Fiber Technician to the growing team. The role involves installing and maintaining structured cabling and network infrastructure to support reliable connectivity across customer sites, conducting site surveys, designing cable pathways, and ensuring all project activities are planned and executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of structured cabling systems, pulling, terminating and testing copper and fiber cabling as per specifications and customer requirements.
• Installing and splicing OSP fiber cabling.
• Troubleshoot and test various network and connectivity related issues.
• Installation of network equipment and LAN room buildouts.
• Installation of cable support systems, i.e. cable tray, conduit, and J-hooks.
