Senior Estimator

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for estimating heavy civil, tailing dams and open pit mining projects. Review of contract drawings, specifications, and quotes at the bidding stage. Provide generally non-routine estimating guidance for projects. Prepare detailed labour-force work plans for estimating activities. Establish site-specific estimating criteria including wage and person-hour productivity rates. Collaborate with other estimators for the development of cost estimates and construction schedules. Quantity take–offs from the contract drawings and specifications. Preparation of an estimate using Bid to Win or similar software. Prepare and distribute RFQs, and solicit quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. Complete tender closing and tender submissions. Build project schedule and budget. Monthly payment certificates to the owner and subcontractors and suppliers. Develop a quality control plan with the QC manager and monitor compliance. Display professional...
