Senior Engineer - Energy Market Systems

Join MISO’s Operations Support Engineering (OSE) team as a **Senior Engineer II (Energy Market Systems)** - the group that supports Day‑Ahead and Real‑Time market operations. In this role, you’ll work hands‑on with EMS tools in the control room to help keep power flowing reliably and efficiently. As a Senior Engineer, you will develop and maintain the Energy and Ancillary Services Market, creating innovative solutions to operational challenges. Your work directly impacts grid reliability as you help optimize next‑day energy plans using SCUC for unit commitment and SCED for real‑time dispatch. We’re looking for engineers with EMS experience, strong power‑systems fundamentals, SQL and Python proficiency, and familiarity with market architecture and NERC/FERC guidelines.
