SAIC is looking for a Senior Energy Storage Engineer to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Engineer (Systems or Electrical) will provide engineering design, development, and systems integration support for DoW Power & Energy storage shipboard system acquisition programs. Develop program documentation for systems development, testing, implementation, and life cycle management for existing and new power and energy systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Characterizing large-scale Li-ion battery performance criteria, developing failure modes, test planning, fire mitigation and suppression concepts, prototyping battery-agnostic containment solutions, and evaluating other alternative energy storage system viability.
+ Engineering support and requirements development for electrical, mechanical, and system controls and mitigation options for the system and the interfaces with the integrated shipboard environment
