Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description The Sr. Electrical Engineer works closely with other engineering disciplines in order to provide crucial electrical decisions and technical strategic data to support Redpath’s projects. This is to enable the implementation of project work in accordance with safety, codes and standards, schedule, quality and cost control. The role bridges engineering and field execution, delivering safe, practical, and constructible electrical, controls, and communications solutions for low- and medium-voltage mining systems under tight schedules and challenging site conditions.

Responsibilities

Responsible for checking and approval of drawings done by other Engineers, Designers or Engineers-in-Training, including single-line diagrams, layouts, grounding, and cable schedules.

Specify, integrate, and commission switchgear, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, soft starters, motors, and protection systems.
