Senior Data Engineer – 3 Month Contract | Remote (South Africa)

We're looking for independent contractors based in South Africa who are immediately available.

I'm working with a UK-based financial services client that is undertaking a large-scale data lake modernisation initiative, and they're looking for a Senior AWS Data Engineer to join the project on a 12-month contract starting in May.

About the project:

The client is moving from a legacy on-prem data warehouse to a scalable, event-driven AWS-based data lake architecture. You'll be key to designing and building robust, secure, and high-performing pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and real-time use cases across the business.

Key skills required:

• Strong experience in AWS data services – including Glue, Redshift, Lambda, S3, Athena, Step Functions
