Senior Casualty Underwriter

Job Opportunity:

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Casualty Underwriter to join our team in Italy based in Milan.

You will be the second person joining the team which means there is a big opportunity to contribute and support in the shaping of the Italian Casualty portfolio. The focus will be on underwriting risks and engage in market activities (brokers and customers) to further establish the BHSI footprint in Italy.

We are seeking an experienced individual who is engaged, passionate, social and always striving towards excellence, in both underwriting and collaboration. You should be comfortable working closely with actuaries, the Claims team, and underwriters from across the broader team. In addition, necessary character, relationship building and negotiating skills to help lead and further build a profitable book of business are of the upmost importance.
