Senior Buyer

Position Summary

The Senior Buyer’s primary function is to ensure appropriate amount of material and product is on site when needed to meet just-in-time production requirements. They will work closely with the planning department to secure the supplies required for the schedule are available and on-site when needed. This is an on-site, in-person position and is being hired as a replacement. The annual salary range for this role is 68,000 to 88,000 CAD.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Senior Buyer’s activities and responsibilities include the following.

Daily Purchasing Responsibilities

• Create purchase orders in MRP system and update when required for, but not limited to; Raw material, Hardware, Outside Processing, and Consumables
• Manage MRP planning parameters
• Revise purchase orders as necessary, based on exception messages report from MRP.
