BirdChime is a Shopify app startup, building since 2022. Our app, Bird Pickup Delivery, is used by 7,000+ merchants in 60+ countries to schedule store pickups and local deliveries, and holds a 5.0 rating on the Shopify App Store with 450+ reviews. We are a small, remote team that ships every week.

About the role

Today, nearly every code review, architecture decision, and is this ready to ship? call runs through our founder. That makes him the bottleneck and slows everyone down. We are hiring a Senior Backend Developer to change that.

This is a hands-on role. You will be in the code every day, building and shipping the backend that thousands of merchants depend on. You will also be the senior engineer the team leans on: reviewing code, setting standards, writing the documentation that stops knowledge from living in one person's head, and unblocking other engineers.
