About the role

A commercially minded mid-sized firm is seeking an experienced commercial litigator at Senior Associate or Special Counsel level to join its dispute resolution team. You will handle high‑value commercial, corporate and regulatory disputes across state and federal jurisdictions, appearing in Supreme, County and Federal Courts, VCAT, and at mediations and arbitrations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contested matters from pleadings to trial and appeal under partner supervision
• Provide strategic, commercial advice and develop litigation strategy
• Draft pleadings, interlocutory applications, affidavits and submissions
• Conduct mediations, directions hearings and settlement negotiations
• Supervise junior staff and manage external counsel
