A Senior Accountant manages daily accounting operations, ensures GAAP compliance, and prepares monthly/yearly financial statements, reports, and reconciliations. They analyze financial data for forecasting, assist with audits/tax filings, mentor junior staff, and improve internal controls to ensure accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, analyze, and interpret monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
General Ledger & Reconciliation: Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger, manage bank statements, and maintain fixed assets.
Month-End/Year-End Close: Lead closing procedures, ensuring accurate revenue and expense recognition.
