Senior Accountant, General or Tax

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Amherst, NS who enjoys accounting and/or tax, advisory, and compliance work. As a member of our team, you would work closely with clients in person and virtually to:

• Prepare complex year‑ends and tax returns for corporate, trust, and personal tax clients;
• Review work prepared by and provide mentorship/guidance to junior staff;
• Identify and assist with tax planning and reorganization opportunities for clients;
• Prepare and review certain elections, correspondence and compliance responses;
• Maintain professional client relationships, including communicating with clients regarding deadlines, deliverables and issues;
• Collaborate with firm senior managers and partners on client needs, timelines and service opportunities.
