Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant.

This is a temporary full-time long-term supply role for a teaching assistant from September 2026.

The Role

SEND Teaching Assistant at special needs school in Rochdale.

Five days a week 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Supporting pupils with Autism, Learning Difficulties, Sensory & Communication Needs.

Working in small groups and 1:1.

Working collaboratively with the class teacher and other Teaching Assistants.

Managing emotions and behaviour so teachers can focus on learning.

Supporting the class teacher in the implementation and progress of Individual Education Plans.

Liaising with outside professionals and parents when required.

Reporting on progress and incidents.
