SEN Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Support pupils with academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment

Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Education, or SEN)
• Previous experience working in a school setting as a SEN Teaching Assistant
• Strong understanding of special educational needs
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs

Location and Hours

School located in Tipton; role requires full-time availability.
