SEN Teaching Assistant – Chatham

Role

Teaching Assistant on a 1:1 basis with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in primary schools across the Chatham area. Support includes small group work, assessing progress, discussing development with teachers, parents/carers and external agencies, and undertaking CPD as required.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily with children as a SEN Teaching Assistant, both on a 1:1 basis and with smaller groups.
• Support children with SEN needs ranging from SEMH, ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs.
• Assess students' progress and discuss development with teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies if necessary.
• Undertake CPD if the role requires it and obtain accreditation.
