SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Academics are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Canterbury. This role focuses on providing support in a setting that prioritises structure and positive outcomes for its students.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students
- Support emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Assist in the delivery of engaging, tailored lessons
- Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
The Students
You will be working with children and young people with SEMH needs. Many students may have experienced barriers to education and benefit from consistent, patient, and understanding support.
