Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to support pupils with additional learning needs across a range of primary and secondary schools in Durham.
The Role
- As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential by:
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals
- Monitoring pupil progress and promoting confidence, independence, and personal development
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Previous SEN teaching experience is desirable
