SEN EYFS Classroom Assistant

A welcoming specialist school in Durham d is recruiting an EYFS Classroom Assistant to support young learners with additional needs.

The provision supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, speech and language challenges, developmental delays and sensory needs through a child-centred approach.

The Role:

• Assisting children during learning and play sessions
• Supporting speech, language and communication targets
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Helping pupils build confidence and social skills
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff

You Will Have:

• Childcare, nursery or SEN experience
• A patient and supportive attitude
• Knowledge of early years learning and development
• A genuine interest in SEN education
