SEMH Teaching Assistant

Overview

SEMH Teaching Assistants – Location: Near Towcester, own vehicle will be required to access site. Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant. Contract: Ongoing / Full-Time (Term Time Only). Start Date: Ongoing recruitment. Salary: £90 - £100 per day.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, both in and out of the classroom
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
• Building positive, trusting relationships with students to help them engage in learning
• Helping to implement personalised learning and behaviour plans
• Working closely with the wider school team to promote positive outcomes for all students

Requirements / Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEMH or SEN setting
• A calm, compassionate and consistent approach to behaviour management
