Semantic Layer Architect

Job Description
• Design and implement an enterprise semantic layer (Gold Layer) on Databricks to support scalable BI, analytics, and AI use cases
 • Build and maintain business-friendly data models and ontologies that standardize definitions across the organization
 • Define relationships, hierarchies, and reusable metrics to enable consistent reporting and data consumption
 • Abstract complex data logic into semantic models consumable by Power BI, AI tools, and business users
 • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure proper Bronze/Silver/Gold layer alignment and data quality standards
 • Enable AI/ML initiatives by structuring data in a way that supports feature engineering and model training
 • Work with stakeholders to translate business logic into consistent and governed data definitions
Leverage tools like Databricks Genie (preferred) or similar semantic modeling platforms
