Security Officer

Position Summary:
Provides security coverage for Stevenson University facilities, conducts foot patrols and security checks of University buildings, monitors areas for unauthorized persons and vehicles, responds to incidents, reports hazards, assists with special events and crowd control and completes necessary reports.

Education/Experience:
High School graduate plus two years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Police, firefighter, emergency medical technician ( EMT ), and security experience are preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability:
Valid driver’s license and good driving record; must be insurable.

Skills in building security and lock procedures.

Skills in providing protection services.

Ability to write detailed and accurate reports.

Ability to detect criminal activity and assist Baltimore County Police Officers with investigations.
