Security Officer (Grade A)

SALARY: £25,272 (Grade A) Pro rata against standard 37.5hr week, enhanced rate payable for nights weekends and bank holidays

HOURS: Average 42 hours per week Monday to Sunday. Day and night shifts plus weekends.

Main duties of the job

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence across the hospital site
• Supporting staff, patients, and visitors with queries and assistance
• Responding to incidents in a calm and professional manner
• Helping to de‑escalate challenging situations safely
• Monitoring access and ensuring hospital policies are followed
• Working closely with clinical teams and other support services
• Monitor car parking and parking enforcement within the site policy
