Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operative – East Herts – Ware Depot

Fixed-term full-time role – 34 hours per week during the winter season (October–February) and 44 hours per week during the summer season (March–September). Pay depends on experience.

Operating Hours

• Summer Season (March – September): 7 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, 7 am – 3:30 pm Friday
• Winter Season (October – February): 7:30 am – 3 pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am – 2 pm Friday

Responsibilities

Undertake grounds maintenance work including mowing large grassed areas, strimming, blowing, line marking and renovation, hedge trimming and general maintenance of shrub beds. Carry out sports markings, hedge cutting and hard surface spraying operations. In the winter months may be required to perform gritting on roads and pavements on an ad‑hoc/call‑out basis.
