11332We, as the Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences, operate interdisciplinary observatories in various countries in collaboration with partners to monitor geodynamic processes in detail. The Central European Volcanic Province Observatory focuses on intraplate volcanism in Germany (the Eifel Volcanic Field and the Vogtland). Observing an active subduction and the earthquake cycle takes place at the Integrated Plate Boundary Observatory Chile (IPOC). Further GFZ observatories and focus areas are located in Central Asia, Italy (Mount Etna), and Iceland.u00a0
nAs a research associate, you will process the associated GNSS data, derive time series, and interpret the observed surface deformations on short and long timescales. You will compare your results with observations from other disciplines and, drawing on your geodetic expertise, actively participate in interdisciplinary exchange within the observatories.
