Satellite Flight Software (FSW) Systems Engineer

Role

As part of the System Engineering Department, the FDIR-FSW Engineer will be work with the Senior FDIR-FSW Systems Engineers, operations, systems, subsystem, and payload engineers to document and review system designs for FDIR.

Tasks

The FDIR-FSW Engineer will perform and participate in the following tasks and activities, depending on the background and experience of the candidate.

• Document the fault detection actions of the platform and payload at the system and subsystem levels.
• Work with system, subsystem, payload and unit teams to review FMECAs and provide feedback on the detection, isolation, and recovery of failures modes.
• Provide input to the Operations team for Operations Procedures, Operations Manuals, and Satellite test procedures to ensure that the Operations documents and FDIR strategy are aligned.
• Review ICDs to provide inputs to the satellite DB team for parameters and monitors.
