Job Description
The post-holder will provide personal medical services, managing a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. The post holder is directly responsible to the Practice Manager for all organisational and administrative issues and the Partners for all clinical issues.
Main duties of the job
To provide face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations and home visits for housebound patients, dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
To make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self‑referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
To undertake and request pathology, radiology and general screening tests as clinically appropriate and following up on all results and take appropriate action within an agreed upon time‐frame.
