Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the appointed Safety & Health Officer (SHO) in compliance with OSHA 1994 and DOSH/JKKP requirements .
• Develop and maintain EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001) , including SOPs, policies, HIRARC, JSA, and risk assessments .
• Lead Occupational Safety & Health Committee (OSHC) meetings and ensure timely action tracking.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) programs.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses ; perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA .
• Ensure compliance with Factory & Machinery Act (FMA) , including boilers, pressure vessels , and DOSH inspections.
• Manage environmental compliance : scheduled waste, DOE requirements, industrial effluent, emissions, and noise monitoring .
