Unit Type: Skilled Nursing Facility / Long Term Care. Facility is a mix of long-term and skilled residents. Total number of beds/residents is 60 with private rooms. Electronic Medical Record system utilized is Point Click Care. Staffing ratios are 1 RN to 15 residents and 1 CNA to 10 residents. Common diagnoses include inability to care for self, sepsis, femur fracture, NSTEMI, chronic kidney failure, congestive heart failure, and urinary tract infections. RN responsibilities include managing IVs, PICC lines, mediports, and other critical care needs. LPN responsibilities include passing medications, wound care, catheter care, PEG tube feedings, ostomy care, and tracheostomy care. There are no telemetry monitors on this unit, and RNs are not required to read strips. Physicians are available for consultation 24/7.
