Perioperative Nurse

Assess and respond to the individual physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the patient through personal observation and interaction. Acts as a patient advocate.

Utilizes professional nursing skills and judgment; takes action to implement nursing care and treat the problems identified.

Communicates patient assessments to the appropriate individuals ensuring the coordination of patient care.

Demonstrates knowledge of diagnostic measures such as labs, radiology, EKG. Demonstrates skills in IV therapy.

Transcribes and implements physicians' orders in an accurate and timely manner while admitting patient to the surgical center efficiently.

Documents in the patient clinical records via computer with accuracy and in a timely manner. Checks the required information on the patient record to comply with the correct surgical procedures. Completes final review of patient record to ensure all paperwork and activities ...
